MCU
AgileVideo MCU is a high-definition video conferencing multipoint control unit (MCU) based on
H.323/SIP/WebRTC since 2005. The highest video resolution is up to 1080p. As a video conference bridge, any
prevalent H.323, SIP endpoints and browser can join MCU conference. MCU is easy-to-use, secure, and
cost-effective, integrating video and audio conferencing together. MCU can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud
depending on the organization's infrastructure preferences and requirements.

MCS
version 5.9 update May, 2018 (Patent No. ZL 2015 1 0456113.7)
MCS (MCU Cluster Server) is an advanced clustering solution that enables multiple MCU units to work
together as a unified system. It provides high-availability video conferencing infrastructure through intelligent
resource allocation, automatic failover protection, and seamless scalability. MCS transforms individual MCU units
into a robust, enterprise-grade conferencing cloud that can support hundreds of simultaneous HD connections while
ensuring service continuity and operational efficiency.
Use Cases
- Deploy private cloud services: support
300+ 2M HD720P calls in one or multiple conferences, improving system utilization.
- Resilience: If one MCU fails, the
meeting can switch to another MCU within 10 seconds, terminals stay online.
- Smooth upgrade: Start with an 8-port MCU
license, then upgrade by adding another 8-port MCU, combining into a 16-port MCU.
Key Features
- Load balancing: The system automatically
allocates conferences or calls to MCUs based on load.
- Auto cascade: As the number of terminals
increases, MCS automatically allocates multiple MCUs for the meeting without manual intervention.
- Online expansion: Add MCU hosts and
expand system capacity without stopping meetings.
- Online maintenance: Support MCU
maintenance or software upgrades without stopping meetings.
- Failure recovery: When an MCU fails
(disconnected, shutdown, upgrade, etc.), the system automatically reroutes meetings or calls to available MCUs
without affecting ongoing meetings.
